need some help here guys

My birthday is coming up and a friend wants to get something for me. I told him what I wanted and this looks good so I thought. It's an Adcom GTP-555 pre/amp that looks pristine but there is something not right. The ad says it comes w/ a remote and looking closely I can't find the i/r receiver eye to accept the remote and I doubt it's an r/f remote. I tried to do some research and not 1 article mentions it coming w/ a remote. Can any of you guys dig a little further or actually know about this Adcom and if this remote that's offered works this pre. I need a working remote. I know the auction ends soon but so far no bidders and I already contacted the seller about an outside deal if no takers on the auction. Also she's a town away and already agreed to a local pay and pick up. Thanks Lew

That's the GFP and it has no remote.I had one of those and moved to the GTP 500 to get the remote,

Yeah thanks, made a typo on the device but I just learned a good lesson. Seriously doubted it came w/ a working remote and now after a few minutes it's confirmed.
My friend who's and avid E-Bay dude looked up her history and he said it looked like she buys close-outs and estate type sales and her rap is she's selling it for a friend and knows nothing about electronics...
