Tascam cd450 worth 175?

A while back I was given a Tascam cd player,(cant remember which).

I was surprised how well it played JJ Cales naturally.

It was appreciable over the denon 2900 and the old pioneer elites I have.

I have seen nothing but very favorable reviews about this unit, but its getting a little long in the tooth.

It looks in fine shape and comes with remote, any known problems or anything I should know about?

Is the lack of response a sign of disinterest in the brand or just a boring post topic.

I have read many favorable reviews online, but you know how sketchy those can be.

Keiko chimed in about the previous Tascam quality, and he was dead on.

I don't think I have ever heard a sweeter sound from a digital source.

Unfortunately, keikos warning about a well known problem with that model also was true, after one good listen to jj cale the unit gave up the ghost and I had to take it apart to get the cd out.

that was no problem since the unit was given to me.

Probably wont buy, but I would love to get another quality tascam in the chain.
