replacing mw6501's

Any issues with replacing 6501 with 6503's? As opposed to waiting to find a pair of original 6501's? Have an bad 6501 in my RTA 12C'S.

Somehow I was under the impression Polk still made those, as I have two newer model from Mexico with the larger dust cover. Have you called PCS to see if any are in stock?

Freak this was edited last year by Mark going from the specs I'd say no. But looks like they are still made

I called polk and they mave 6503's still just wondered if it would be better to try to find the 6501?

The problem with mixing, is the 6501s have a higher DCR, and lower FS, and VAS compared to the 6503. If it were me, I get a salvaged 6503, use it until I found a good 6501 off fleaBay

You can do a search on fleaBay for a 6501, and then "Follow" it. When a 6501 is listed, they'll email you.

Truth be known I'd rather get it from a polkie. I can get the 6503 local ( know someone that has scavenged some. Then be patient and pray the audio gods smile on me! LOL.
