Don't place them facing each other or away from each other. Both of these options have cancellation issues, wiping out each others sound, thus wasting amp power.

Facing them forward into your back seat makes for a clean accurate sound that may have a flatter frequency response than other placements.

Facing them back into your trunk will give the most volume of any of your options. +3db over facing them forward in most installs. This is due to "corner loading" or pressurizing and then releasing the increased sound forward into the cabin. The same happens in the house in corners with subs. This will create the most spl with the least power. The down side to this is that it may also increase frequency bumps in your system that make the tuning of your trunk seem exaggerated at those frequencies.

If your subs are going to be in a box that is moveable, move it around and see what works best for you.

    I hope these comments help,

i HATE Car Subs. Gives me an effing headache. The only sub i ever considered was the Infinity Basslink which is awesome for the price. Its small enough to be tucked under a seat yet powerful enough for 99% of the people (not too boomy).
