If so, which one/s was your favorite?

We are planning on going back again and will be staying downtown.

+1 Swissotel. I've stayed at the House of Blues in the past and liked that. The Palmer House has a really sweet lobby but the rooms are not so much. I've heard they're not giving the discounts that you could get on Chicago hotels in the past.

We've used the Palomar and Monaco Hotels in Chicago and had great experiences, they're both Kimpton Hotels.

I am a fan of both the Waldorf and the Four Seasons.
Waldorf because of their fantastic stay and drive packages and you always get a great product no matter which one you stay at.
The Four Seasons because it just has simply some of the best views in the city.
The decor is slightly dated but staff and facilities are always exceptional.

If I had to stay at either, I would choose the Waldorf. But only by a hair and only because we are HHonors Diamond members and get treated like royalty in most cases.

Plymouth Hotel 22 W. Van Buren. John Belushi and Dan Akroyd stayed there once.ygb2hkc68jqg.jpg

EDIT: Joey_V sorry about this referral, I just got off the phone with Dan Akroyd and he said the Plymouth Hotel is no longer, something about an explosion. New Chicago library was planned for this site.
