Emma's adventures: more audio gear

I'm going to post a few pics on this thread - my daughter has been exposed to quite a few gear.
I'll start with a visit to my brother's place -
A short trip to my brother's place was in store, I had to pick up a couple pairs of Klipsch speakers that I had just sold to one of my friends.
So, we stopped by and listened to his system.
It consists of 804 Diamonds and a full Musical Fidelity array of electronics.
Sounded good... he really likes it. Balanced system top to bottom. Sub might add to the realism of the system if he can pull the trigger on a Rel G2.

Another time Emma and I went to listen to a local audiophiles crazy system.
Raidho D5
TAD Ref 1
Pass Labs XS300 monoblock based system
It was such a large system that I didn't want Emma near the front stage... She ended up peeing sometime during the session.
I ended up changing her diaper on the ottoman.

Cute pics! Emma looks like she's really growing, seems like some of the last pics you had of her , she was in the stroller? Lots of nice gear there Joey, REL makes some very nice subs.

Awesome stuff Joey!
It's always a blast getting your kids into music with you.
One of my favorite pics is when my daughter came downstairs after she was supposed to sleeping for the last 45 minutes and I was breaking in my new headphones...
I felt a tap on my forehead and she asked me if she could listen, what father could say "no"?
We had a blast listening to Muddy Waters!
Till mom came in and busted us...

upstate - oh yeah man.
I just recall that when I was a kid, I never was really exposed to music or audio. It's a little thing I want to ensure my kid has some exposure and perhaps some appreciation for.
Cute kid upstate!
Looks like you got some AKGs there. If you look closely at my brother's place, you will see a pir of AKG K701.

They are my AKG Q701's. I throughly enjoy them! Actually, I'm enjoying them as I type this...
IIRC, the K701 and Q701 cans are nearly identical.

I think the moment that made me realize I was an excellent father was about a week ago...
We were in a store and someone was behind my daughter and me. They were discussing some shows coming to SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center). The lady said; "I can't believe they are charging like $150 to see this Joe Bonamassa guy, nobody even knows who he is"...
My four year old turned around and said; "uhh he is like a really cool guitarist, like really, really good. Sometimes he sings with Beth Hart, she is really cool too"...
Then she turned around to me looking at me like, what the hell is up with this lady?
Lol. -

The Raido's are the tall narrow ones in the corner behind the TADs
Great outings

Local audiophile crazy system, hell yeah. What I want to know is what does that dude do for a living to have a set-up like that ? Drooling would be an understatement. He's an audio dealer and so that's probably how he accumulated all that gear. Probably for cheap. There's no way that unless you're just insanely wealthy you would be able to get that kind of gear in a room....
Hell, if I was able to tax deduct my audio system, I'd be in freaking lala land right now.
But despite that, he was also well heeled from the looks of it.Magico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R -
Today we suited up and went to visit another dealer.
Friend, me, and Emma went. Our ranking was as follows:
1. BW 802 Diamonds
2. SF Olympica 3
3. BW 803 Diamonds
4. Martin Logan Montis
Rationale for Montis being low was poor off axis, otherwise a very good (fantastic) speaker in the sweet spot.
But yes... I think Emma actually liked the Sonus Faber the best... She was always near it.
