Hi Everyone,
This is my first post and im a very happy owner of the RM6700 series along with a PSW303 Sub. My reciever is Yamaha HTR5640 which is 6.1 capable. I also ordered an extra rear speaker from the same series from Crutchfield to complete my 6.1 setup. I wanted to ask as what height should my rear speaker be at? should it be at Ear level while sitting or the same level as my rear surrounds(6 feet). Another question is im using Banana Connectors for Hookup, are they a better option or shall i use the normal Binding Posts.
Thanks a lot and yes Polk speakers are fantastic!!

Welcome to the Forum!
All of your Surround speakers should be at 2-3' above the listeners ear level when seated. Not always possible though due to room configuration.
Here's a few links that might help with your HT configuration.

You're welcome, Sir! Don't forget to stop by Radio Shack on your way home and pick up an SPL Meter so you can do a proper calibration of your audio system and get the most out of it. Need more info on SPL Meters and Calibration? No Problem! Just click here!

oh well my name is actually daman and the last name is sidhu, was trying to change it in the edit profile but couldnt find it anywhere.. anyways to get to the point - i installed the rear speaker yesterday and watched LOTR-both the parts EE's in DTS6.1 Discrete and man was there a difference- the sound is more enveloping now and its not as if the rear's are working seperately.. earlier the sound was like ok this is the left rear guy playing and this is a right but now its a whole envelope arround me.. just amazing, ill highly reccomend going in for a 6.1 setup even if there are just are few DVD's which are 6.1 encoded!! It was a big difference for me.Worth the value!!!
Cheers!
