Strange I swear I see tube glow. Must have something on that is reflecting off the tubes. Can't tell what kind? Nice find

The DIY one looks to have some nice iron on it.
If they haven't run for a long time, they should be brought back to life slowly to give the power supply filter capacitors time to reform. The DIY one looks quite modern under the hood and shouldn't be much trouble to get going again; the other one, if unrestored, would benefit greatly from (and may have an absolute need for) some restoration.

The DIY amp is quite nice! The outputs are Tung-Sol (real Tung-Sol)... what? 5881s? I dunno :-P I see a 500 ohm secondary (output) tap on that nice Thordarson transformer; does it also have low-impedance (4, 8 and/or 16 ohm) output taps for normal loudspeakers? One hopes so.

The "Universal" amp is an extremely simple single-ended 6V6 mono integrated. On the "plus" side, it has a built in (mono) MM phono preamp -- which probably uses the RIAA curve. Probably. On the "minus" side, it'll be very low power; coupla watts at best. Single fixed tap for speaker output, too... maybe 8 ohm; maybe 16. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if there were multiple taps on the output transformer itself.

some basic info on tube amps and the care and feeding thereof from stickies at audiokarma:

I'm not sure what to do with them I'm going to ticker with them once I get my hand on another set of speakers.

Thanks for posting the info I will read that and then some as I literally have no clue about them and have never heard any tube amplifiers

Tinker how? There is deadly voltage in those amps, so be very careful if you are tinkering and don't know what you are doing. You can die (seriously)

I just meant after reading about the amps I will then check them out before plugging them in. I don't play with electricity.
