Eico 666 Dynamic Conductance Tube Tester
A nice, clean Eico 666 tube tester. The 666, and the 667, are the last and the best of the Eico tube testers. This is the model with the 4, 5, 6 and 7-pin sockets that restoration buffs are looking for.
I used it to test mainly my preamp and power tubes. Easy to use.
Eico 666 is of the "Dynamic Conductance" type. This Eico model has the advantage, over many others, in that it actually measures leakage values on the tester meter instead of using a simple go/no go "shorts" lamp.
I bought this unit a few years back from John Warner, a retired engineer out of Nevada. John refurbished and recalibrated tube testers and this is one of them.
Very nice condition. Clean and the panel is bright. It has a metal case, which John refurbished.
Comes with reprint of manual, including schematic, and reprint of the most current 1-1-78 Data Manual (invaluable). Also copy of Eico 666 Tube Supplement Data.
I have a few tube testers (yes, one for each season and backups too
) and need to declutter.
