VPI 16.5 RCM Record Cleaning Machine

It is the newer version, has the rocker switches instead of the metal toggle switches. Works well. Very good condition. See pictures. Upgraded, hence this sale.

Extra new suction wand included. Owner manual, power cord, brush and original factory box and packaging.

    Bump for a nice guy and a great rcm... Need to hold off because we need to redo the front of the house and a master bath.

    I know it's sold but I'd like to know more about these things. How do these work? Is there a solution plus vacuum? Does it really clean an old record well?

    Hi @xjghost - solution plus vacuum yes with what I would describe as a very light brushing action from a velvet like brush as it turns.

    And yes, it doesn't fix scratches, but in terms of taking your vinyl replay to the next level, nothing cleans like a vacuum record machine IMO. Old dusty pops and clicks are virtually eliminated in my experience.

    There are newer more expensive (and much slower from my research) cavitation based machines, but they're out of my price range.

    xjghost, +1 to what MrBuhl said. Helps with new LPs too, for example, removing mold releasing chemical residue and manufacturing artifacts.

    Will probably prolong your stylus life too.
