Whats wrong with the original crossover? Bad? no sound?

Either replaced the components or make your own using point to point wiring. Not sure how different the 2000P and 2000i crossovers are but here is a schematic....

The original is partially burned, only tweeter works. Thanks for the advice, but I wont be able to make one myself. Can I use any other, for example one from RT 55,

There are several that will make a crossover for you. There are guys on this forum that are DIYers and some that have their own business. Forum member VR3 aka Trey

...does all types of crossover work.

Then there are places like https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/welcome.php that make crossovers.

The question is, what are you prepared to pay? Having one made might cost more that what you willing to spend.

Did you buy them like that ? If not, you may want to investigate why the crossover cooked in the first place.

VR3 can make one for you, good man and forum member, call him for a price. If that's out of reach for you, look around your local craigslist. Many have speakers they are selling cheap, maybe you can find another from someone who is in your same boat.

I bought them new, around 8 years ago. I think I cranked the volume to high, that will be my guess.

I'm sure they can be repaired if there is no damage to the drivers. Take a picture and send it to me. Maybe I can offer my services....I fix everything. Its probably a resistor or bad solder joint that overheated.

Looks like two or more components are fried, the board is in bad shape. If I'll get a chance, i take a picture over the weekend.
