Anthem MRX 500 No Bass from Subwoofer

I recently upgraded from dual Boston Acoustics PV600 subs to an SVS PCi 25-31. Everything was working OK when I set it up. However, tonight, I went to adjust the levels (wanted to increase the sub level), and noticed no sound at all from the subwoofer. I even tried swapping in the old Boston sub, but there is absolutely NO sound. The subs appear to be working as I get a loud buzz when attaching the sub cable. I even tried swapping cables, but no luck. I went into the Anthem sound level calibration and I adjusted the subwoofer level up, but there is not even a test tone. I tried different inputs (blu-ray and TV), but get nothing from the sub.
Any thoughts?

Did you turn the sub off when swapping cables?

No, I did not. Probably should have... but didn't.EndersShadow wrote: »Factory reset maybe?
Suppose I could try that. I'm overdue to re-run the ARC setup again anyway.
It just seems that since I swapped out subs, I've had numerous issues. First, the low level from the sub; then the audio issues with the Oppo BDP, and now the TOTAL lack of any signal in the sub. I'm hoping the Anthem isn't the culprit and showing early signs of failure... -
Problem solved!!
Hadn't had time to try resetting and recalibrating, but this morning I realized that a headphone cable was plugged into the front of the receiver. Unplugged it and bass is back!
What I DON'T like about the Anthem, and maybe there's a setting to change this, is that when a headphone cable is plugged in, it does NOT cancel the sound from the speakers. My old Denon used to be 'either/or' - when headphones were plugged in, no sound from speakers. We often use headphones when running on the treadmill and watching a show. I have a headphone extension cable running through the ceiling to the back of the room to plug headphones in at the treadmill. Since there was still sound from the speakers the next time the system was used, I never even realized the cable was still connected.
Relieved that it wasn't a bigger problem, but feel like an idiot...! -
Glad it was an easy fix for you...I've been there myself with thinking the worst & it turns out to be a simply oversight. Man, we have all been there. Ive done stupid stuff that actually cost me quite a bit of money, so you are lucky in that regard. I had a Pioneer AVR that alllowed me to physically turn off the speakers via a button on the front panal. Does your Anthem have that? Maybe on the unit or remote?

Thanks Phil! I'm very relieved! And, the Rotel is... Awesome. Love it.
Deron - to be honest, I haven't checked, but if it does, it's not blatantly obvious (which I've been finding out recently as I age, it must be or I'll miss it!) -
Glad you got it sorted out. Don't feel bad though, if I had a nickel for every time I did stupid stuff, I'd have Joey's system by now. EnjoyHT SYSTEM-
