two Adcom DAC'S modded

One GDA 600 and one GDA 700 (HDCD).
Both have been modded ( see thread december 2012 "GDA dac mods done" under my posts. Dont know to list a link.also can speak on phone for full details. Both excelent condition inside and out.250.00/350.00 respectively.
Also have the shure v15lll with NOS VN35MR stylus. 300.00

Nice dacs here gents. Dacs are a dime a dozen in this price range, however good sounding dacs aren't. Many here swear by these dacs, especially that tube drooling, Brimar looking guy you know as H9.

So hooking up either of these to my Adcom Pre, will it override the Dac in my SACD player? Been looking at the Peachtree DacIT is eithier of these Adcoms better than the Peachtree? I want to hook up a laptop to a Dac to my 2 channel.

Haven't had my ears on that DAC so cant say if better. They dont play SACD if you come out from your cd with digital outs than into the pre you will bypass the dac in your cdp and be using the adcom that way. But to play SACD you will have to go back to the anolog outs. But ive listened to this DAC up against very expencive DAC'S 3k plus and it held its own. The upgrades and mods were very effective and have made cd's "criticle listening" grade especially with well recorded cd's and the HDCD (in the 700) is remarkable. Maybe someone has heard both, but at this price point i cant believe anything could touch it. Search it here and you can read a log of very good praise. Also read my thread on the mods for spicific details as to what was done.

These are sweet dac's. Older generation chipset, with newer op-amps and better caps. They are hard to beat and extremely versatile. And dare I say analog sounding.

If you are looking for a solid, excellent sounding dac these can't be beat. If you need USB, just get a nice USB converter module and you're done.

Cortico both were sold, but I do have another gda700. Identical to the others. I bought and modded several for multiple systems I had. Soooo I guess I could let the last 700 go.

BTW I'm on the hunt for an amp (200W SS) to drive a pair of L123A drivers in a biamp system. Willing to make a trade with the gda700 DAC. If anyone has one lying around????
