Just play them at normal listening levels, no reason to damage your hearing , but all speakers need a burn in period to sound their best, about 200 + should do it :)

Leave them playing the radio 24/7 when you're not listening.

Your setup has really stepped up in a short amount of time, congrats man! How about some pictures?

Might I suggest your next upgrade? Parasound P5. The HT bypass would be perfect for you.

I have no radio reception where I live so I leave Pandora on but it turns itself off eventually.

The next conquest is going to be the 706c. I just got a Yamaha RX-A2030 what kind of improvement would a P5 provide?

@gudnoyez I pretty much decided not to retire early (hope I am not forced to) so that freed up some funds. This is about the only fun that I have and every move that i have made has given me a lot of satisfaction. I am almost done now. Famous last words lol!

lol, I figured, but I have been studying up on my Tabletese lately so got most of that.

re: the break-in and listening levels, like V said - just normal.
good modest to moderate listening levels running all 24/7, or as much as you can, will get them loosened up and broken in in no time. I haven't heard 707's, but the 703's I use got a bit fuller and smoother after running them a while. you'll see.

so you're driving everything off of the Yamaha 2030?
man, yeah, like NF says, you might want to consider a 2ch preamp like the P5. I wonder how you'd like that. depending on how much of the advanced technology of the Yamaha you're using - the streaming/network playing stuff - moving to a preamp w/HT bypass might complicate things a little bit for you, and you'd need to add another piece for these services, like a Squeezebox or Sonos. if you're not using these services, that make things easier.

how's that HT bypass work? using the HT bypass jacks on the P5 and going to the Yamaha's Inputs? and how would the center channel running on the A31 work in this configuration?

I also use a 706 with 703's. you'll probably find the 706 to be a nice addition to your Parasound and LSiM setup.

oh and as far as breakin goes I am running all 9 channels because most of it is new sort of. The RX-A1040 was 7 channels only. I did run my test blue ray(pacific rim) for my daughter when she cam over. At first take I am not sure that I need a second sub but I still want one. I got issues.

HT bypass allows you to hook up a 2-channel preamp to your AVR but if you just want to listen to 2 channel music - then you leave the AVR turned off... and use the P-5 for 2 channel music..then when you want to play multichannel music or movie you use you AVR and leave the P-5 turned off.

reason being that music feed thru the P-5 for 2 channel will sound better then music going hru a AVR that is a jack of all trades but a master of none!

But I think you need to pack up your speaker and send them to me to be properly burned-in as I don't want you to mess this important part up. I send them back in a few months or so hopefully

200 hours will fly by. Seriously. Dam, I want to try a p5, but I'm not convinced it will outperform my benchmark dac1 pre.
