8" polk powered subwoofer replacement
Hey, does anyone have an idea what woofer i would replace the speaker alone with, its a 8" down firing long throw 100w driver that was sold with the polk rm6500 system back in 1999

first option is to call customer service and ask them if they have replacements available. Tell them you are a member of Club Polk and you get a discount. Second option is to measure the cutout diameter and look for a replacement here that will fit:

Like polk, they have excellent customer service and if you call them they will recommend a replacement.
The third and best option is to replace the whole enchilada. Honestly that is a very entry level "sub" woofer. The Polk PSW505 for around $200 walks all over it. And of course the sky is the limit, depending on budget.
