There she is as she sits in the Rack my Joe Walsh So What SACD showed up today so my first two listens will be this along with Tubular Bells. I'm not sure this will even need to be compared to my Oppo 105D as of the first 30 minutes of Tubular Bells the Soundstage is overwhelming with the 2.3tls I will give them a go side by side but this Marantz Player will best it I'm pretty sure of it.

Oh and the Blue lites I took off from work early and have been sucked in to the Blue light portal by way of the Side Panel Blue lights.

See the Blu Lights I think the rest of the night I will be staring at them what a difference from the CD-5004, I'm at a loss for words. I will have to come up with a good reason for canceling the Family Vacation B)

That is nice, once I get my P5 that player will be on my short list. I have always been a fan of Marantz gear. I have a couple avr's and a cd6003 player.

I know Yamaha has a few, but the other boys strike out a lot. I can't tell you how good that Marantz sounded though.

Do you have any plans for acquiring one of the Marantz network audio players? I bet they're great too, I kind of want one.

Not for demo. I like the SACD players because of their versatility. I can play anything someone brings to me.

Can they play 192/24 FLAC or DSD from USB? What's the point in the network players then? Good to know, if so.

Congrats @gudnoyez . Looks very sweet.

Has anyone tried running a budget streaming device like SB Touch or FireTV through the DAC on this Marantz player?

Well first off hooked up the 105D once again to the 2 channel, things I heard on Tubular Bells on the Marantz I heard on the 105D but only after the Marantz Brought those nuances out first, for example I never new Mike Oldfield had sinititus or some thing during the recording I could hear him gasping for breath in a few passages that were unknown to me, so after hooking the Oppo back up I had to really listen for it with the Marantz hooked back up I heard it clear as bell.

The Oppo does a find job in the HT rig playing SACDs in 5.1 and Blu Ray concerts and it's a heck of a universal player, love it to death but that's where it's staying, this Joe Walsh So What SACD sounds fantastic I doubt I will ever play the Redbook CD, or the LP again the orchestration on the last track Song For Emma brings a chill up my spine and a tear to the eye it sounds that good.

I Plan on putting a few more SACDs through it then it's off to try some well recorded red book CD'S through it that I'm very familiar with probably some Donald Fagen, Mark Knopfler, and some Steely Dan. Skip I'm so glad you recommended this player I'm in Heaven. Oh yeah wife busted me had I put the box in storage before she got home she wouldn't of never known looks like the Family vacation is still on she rolled her eye's at me and told me to put stuff away dang it all.

    Very nice player! Congrats.

Skip - are you taking a look at the Pearl? Used prices on the 'gon have dropped since I got my player a couple of years ago...could be tempting.

The 15S2B and Pearl only have TosLink optical in and support 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 64kHz, 88.2kHz, and
    96kHz (up to 24 bits).

Not sure if the current gen have USB.

I have the Marantz 8005 SACD and I tied Alac & Flac and some DSD downloads I put on a UsB drive and it just showed <Not Supported> on it,

but using JRiverMedia to play the file on my PC and sent to the 8005 via a usb cable and using a marantz window driver it plays them just fine.

I put some MP3's on the USB drive from 5150 and they played just fine.
