Hi folks,
Second owner of this PJ. Works great, comes in the original box, with remote, manual and three bulbs. The one in use now has around 200 hours and is a REAL JVC OEM bulb. Included is an second OEM JVC bulb with around 200 hours, and a third bulb that appears to be a non-OEM bulb....but works. Great picture, no hot spots or discolored areas. I think that a total use figure of around 1,100 hours is about right. The original, local owner told me he used it for a little over 900 hours before he bought a Epson 5030 for his new house. The case has a few scuffs, but is presentable. All focus and image shift controls work, all inputs have been tested good, and I have cleaned the internal prism when I swapped the bulb. A neighbor sold me a RS46 for a really good price or I would still have this unit installed and be happy with it. I bought the extra bulbs with the intent of doing just that.
This machine replaced my NEC 10PG CRT projector a little over a year ago, and the picture quality is comparable to my eyes. Contrast is slightly less, but the increase in clarity and focus more than makes up for it. I considered a new JVC unit at the time, but this unit cost me much less than the depreciation on a new PJ over a year...and works very nearly as well. I decided that I could use it for a year and then pitch it if needed and be money ahead. The math hasn't changed.
Lots of info on this JVC model in the AVSForum, so I'm not going to go too deep here. The RS1 has stood the test of time well.
It will ship in the original box from ATL to your home in the CONUS for $600. I don't think that the extra bulbs and mount will fit in the same box as the PJ, but I'll try. If not, I'll ask for an extra $20 to ship the mount and extra bulbs, if you want them. If you are local to ATL, I will discount actual shipping costs, and you can see it work if you like.
I also have a SnapAV Dragonfly 110' screen with 0.9 gain HC material if a local or nearby buyer is interested in a package deal. Works great with this projector if you have a little ambient light in your room.
My eBay ID is rtinatl and has lots and lots of perfect feedback. I've been a member of this forum for well over a decade as well.
I have pix and can send them to you via separate email, out of respect for the forum's bandwidth costs.
Please respond via PM.
