So after months of lots of trial and error, I am slowly getting the hang of 3D printing... it has been the most frustratingly enjoyable thing to mess with ever! :p6vimh9zc6i4v.jpg

    Thank you sir!

This is the biggest thing I have printed (with success) and even then, I questioned the potential outcome :p

Very cool Tray. I'm a Quality Manager at a machine shop and we're thinking about getting one of these for R&D work. Looks like you have the resolution set on the high side. How long did it take to make?

    Thanks guys :)

I have learned a lot about resolution in the sense you can set the printer to low/med/high resolution but the layer HEIGHT is actually more important than the resolution in and of itself.

IE: A low resolution print (faster) with a low layer height will actually be a faster high resolution print.

So, in this instance, this Buddha print was printed on standard resolution with a .25 mil first layer and a .10 mil layer after that for a total of 933 layers.

It took 17.5 hours to print start to finish.

LOL.....Yes Sir, his affliction for those little 'bots is well documented. I thought Trey had matured enough to 3d print some naked women though. Maybe a few more years..... ;)
