WHFS was a mainstay for good, albeit eclectic music in my college & grad school days @ JHU...
Actually, in those days, there was a fair amount of good radio in the Baltimore/DC area -- in fact, my favorite was a low power, daytime only "peanut whistle" AM radio station in B-more called WAYE (860 kHz AM, if memory serves). It was a really great radio station in its time.
