If you get a chance to see them you will not be disappointed. Larry was a longtime guitarist for Bob Dylan and Levon Helm and Buddy Miller. Theresa is a powerful singer. Catch them if they come near you

I'm a HotTuna freak and a few tours ago G.E. Smith was the 2nd lead. Then this skinny dude who looks kinda like Jackson Browne takes stage left and just shredds. He of course is Larry Campbell. I had never heard of him but was told he was in Further, Dylan's Band,Levon Helm's band and did a boatload of session work. This night as w/ others Jorma just let him take off and Larry is a multi-tasker. He plays peddle steel, mandolin, acoustic guitar, slide, violin, and shines best on the white Telecaster. Granted Teresa is no Grace Slick but she did a great Sugaree that won me over. He was even in the house band that played behind Springsteen on that 3hr. PBS special. He's that good.

Yeah, the above photo is Sugaree. Larry played with Phil Lesch and Friends for awhile also. I saw him dozens of times playing with Dylan and it was the best band Dylan ever had. I forgot Larry played with Hot Tuna very recently. I think that was mostly on the East Coast, he wasn't with them when I saw them. I paid $20 to see him and Theresa last night, a real value in today's highway robbery ticket prices world. They have a new album that's really good also.

One of the most under appreciated musicians around IMHO.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

We just saw 'em with Hot Tuna at the Flying Monkey in Plymouth, NH last week. Theresa's voice is a little too piercing for me, but she's a belter and she's certainly got stage presence; all in all the show was very good (even if poor Jack Casady looks like Death warmed over).

I like Larry Campbell a lot. We saw him with David Bromberg & David Hidalgo this past January (also at the Flying Monkey)... a show for which I wasn't really sure what to expect, but which was borderline amazing. Three very, very good musicians -- and they looked like they were having a blast playing together.

I love seeing folks like these in the myriad small venues that are scattered all over northern New England. Comfortable venues, easy parking, usually good food nearby, inexpensive tickets -- and great music in very friendly & relaxed circumstances.

Mrs. H & I find ourselves spending more and more of our 'discretionary' funds in retirement going to shows like these ;- )
