Watching a documentary about The Dead on Amazon Prime. Any of yooz have this and can you get Amazon music to play streaming? I got a Roku stick hoping I could play their free music but it looks like I can only play stuff that I bought from Amazon.

I don't think Amazon Music is what you're thinking, it's not like Pandora AFAIK.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

No Night, the roku will play Amazon music however on the pc you can play a lot of free stuff. I want to stream the free stuff not just the "auto rip" that I have bought.

Gotcha. Try Pandora or Spotify for free music.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

I use Pandora but Amazon Prime lets you pick albums, I just can figure out how to stream them though my system. I am not a stockholder or booster of Amazon but you may want to try their Prime free trial just for the sale tomorrow.

Lots of good music docs, more than Netflix. I am watching Roben Ford now

Night check out the free Amazon prime if nothing else to see what's on sale tomorrow. I quit Directumtv and all I have is Prime and Netflix now and Prime is my go to even though I dont sit still much to watch anything. I listen and read stuff. I hardly watch anything these days.

I can play it through my FireTV, not sure about the Roku though. I can go through multiple playlists, etc.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden

Most of those streaming BOXES, dongles, sticks, etc., etc. are just Trojan Horses for subscription payments. Frankly, I don't pay for much after I settle the monthly internet service bill, can't help it, been here since the beginning of the WEB and us old timers don't like to pay. Spotify requires FACEBOOK-don't do that either, let Mr. Z jerk someone "else" around! lolCurrently orbiting Bowie's Blackstar.!

Spotify hasn't required Facebook, since its inception in the U.S. I have never had Facebook and have been using spotify for years.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant -

Guess I can't trust my daughter then, because that's who put me off with the above information. I figured a 17 year old who's addicted to the WEB should know this kind of thing? lol
So do you PAY a subscription for their service or can you log on without paying like Pandora-and just suffer through the Ads?
So I went to the site and I see that, at the TOP they do sort of want you to sign up through Facebook, but you can choose not to. And they want you to TRY their Premium service, or would prefer you do for $9.99 a month but you don't have to. However they REALLY want that personal information gender, birth dates, emails, etc. which will probably be sold for marketing purposes. But that's a pretty standard profit model for most services these days. Of course that doesn't mean I "like" that model. I suppose you could just LIE about gender, birthdays and so on? Frankly, streaming is really only a background thing for me. The quality is mediocre (even at Spotify's Premium 320K bit rates) so Pandora is good enough for Musac listening! Spotify is more powerful and full-featured, but I prefer to own lossless copies of what I REALLY listen to. Why spend over $1,000 on a CD player if you're not going to use it?
