Digital media player and amp volume

I just wanted to see what you guys do for digital playback. Right now I'm running tidal hifi---Mac mini--- Music fidelity V link---- to my stereo. Vvolume control is fixed by my V link but not the volume on tidal or my stereo.

Should I set the volume up all the way on Tidal or somewhere else?

I am having a hard time wording what I am actually trying to say I guess. Would you max the volume on the volume adjustment for Tidal and then use the stereo volume? I feel like there is more sibilance when I leave it that way, and I know the more gains you just the more it messes up the sound.

Holy crap. He lives! Welcome back man.

I know its been a while since I was on here at all, I moved out to Hawaii for a couple years. Seeking Audio Bliss out here is far more expensive than it was in the mid west.

Yes...unless it sounds better to you a different way. I don't know that there's a right or wrong answer.

I'd give up my system for that ;)
