I just got back from getting a set of EPI 100V bookies. These were just foamed and sounded great outside. So I got them. He wanted a high of $50 I got them for $30 and my American Lab 81/2 -2ways are out. Cabinets are very presentable w/ One corner bumped and grills are great w/ only 1 snag in 1 of them. Check these out.I don't know the vintage, 9iuji00hb9kj.jpg

Evidently these are the mid 70s older model w/ the tweeters that have the exposed leads coming from them. Reviews are stellar, I know these are purely anecdotal but very encouraging.

    Great grab!

Good speakers -- made in Newburyport, MA.
Their creator, Winslow Burhoe, is still around and still selling good quality, modestly priced loudspeakers.

I've gotta tell you -- I saw the title "speaker rotation" & figured you'd picked up a pair of "Leslies" ;- )

EDIT: You're presumably aware of former EPI/Genesis employee Huy Powell's site www.humanspeakers.com (but I mention it here, just in case you're not!). He sells replacement parts for these loudspeakers and has a pretty good archive of information.

This one's actually an EPI 110C, but there is a pair of 100V here, too. Need to refoam 'em, someday.

Hey Mark thanks, doing research over at AK It seems these are the preferred model called gold rings w/ that concave Burhoe tweeter design w/ those exposed leads ala AR 3A and such. Also right, a B-3 Hammond and Leslie cabinet are the most powerful instrument going in the right hands. Many have been converted for guitar use and the phasing is amazing. Mine freshly refoamed w/ a neat job no dribbles and are way better than my AALs that are going to a friend's garage rig. About Human Speakers the the rap on him is great quality and very expensive.... Nice stands!

The stands were a Polk forum karma :- ) They're much nicer (more nicely made) than were the "real" Polkstands of the 1970s!

Since New England is EPI country, and the "Burhoe modules" were virtually identical for many of the early EPI speakers (1" concave dome "airspring" tweeter & 8" high-compliance woofer run "full range"), spare parts are pretty easy to come by 'round these parts.
