    In. Educating them on the nuanced differences quality gear can make and that its all only as good as the weakest link.

    Host demos, and, yes, in agreement with Dave - educate on sound qualities and use audio examples to point these things out. That's what I'd like, anyway. It's be sort of like an apprenticeship.

    I think that is a good idea. I know when I was using my Tyler Acoustics/Odyssey system, it would have been nice to show them different levels of equipment. To someone use to surround bars and headphones, the cost to entry on a high end system can be a tad daunting but I have also assembled systems at $1,000 and $500 that were extremely competent and not shamed by higher end setups.
