Seating for the stereo room? Single recliner or a midsize sectional?

If you asked me a few years ago - I'd go with the single recliner (that doesn't look like a chunky recliner) without a doubt. However, since the little baby, I *think* she might want to sit with me... but that's also "best case scenario". More than likely since there is no TV in the room, I'm alone. The game room has a TV right next to the media room and has a sectional.
So, what do you guys think? Opinions on this subject? I'm sure many have crossed this fork in the road in the past.
Should I go with a single recliner - a nice one?

Or...
Should I go with a midsize sectional?

I have searched and I wanted to make sure the seat height was at least 18" high to get my ears to around 37" tall. This seems to be the standard ear height for the industry.
I was going to get a nice floor lamp nearby and also a small coffee table to complete the look. I want it to be inviting and nice. The complete opposite of the "homeless" look I got going on right now in the room.

Man, you have good taste. I'd say go with the sectional if it works in your room. Nothing like taking a good nap with the rig pleasuring the ear drums.

Sectional, nothing less. The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

Thanks man...
The entire house is Restoration Hardware but I wanted to go a little modern for the stereo room.
How about this one? I sat in one and nearly melted.

Yeah i just kind of dont really want to be alone in the room and I don't want it to be like a loner's paradise. But then again, I only have 1 shot at this since I really don't want to buy a sectional and then regret it.

I've never had a chance to try out a Ekornes recliner, but they make a variety of models and they do look comfy.

I love my Ekornes Stressless Sunrise recliner.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money. -
They look fantastic, I keep thinking someday I'll be able to afford a used one.

I see a FEW of those recliners in a First Class Flight configuration with the appropriate supporting tray tables, etc. ENJOY the FLIGHT!Currently orbiting Bowie's Blackstar.!

I vote recliner Joey you can always bring in a extra chair if need be, oh that guest will just have to sit to the left or right of the sweet spot. You probably owe it to yourself.Home Theater

go with two chairs. One with a low height back for critical listening. Then a super comfy one to sit back, recline and relax.2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Mirage Omni S8 sub1 | Mirage Omni S8 Sub2

Wasting time. You work too hard to compromise. Different setups for different rooms. Different setups for different mood.
Too easy. If your house can't do it, time to move. Invest one less into that rose gold Rolex and get the baby and yourself a no compromise space. You can't take all your savings with you! Haha

Regardless, I'd say go for something with more seating. Something custom made from Leather Sofa Company maybe???

Sat in one, one of the most comfortable. Moreso than it looks.

Halen - you know me too well.
Time to move? Hahah... that's what I've been prepping for... making a list of things that I want to change and already thinking about how I'm going to get movers here to move all this new furniture we got from Restoration Hardware... they're all so heavy. Like the media console is like 150 lb... and each bed is like about that much.
I gotta be strategic.... the 802 Diamonds took me a good day to get from downstairs garage to upstairs stereo room and it's going to be a pain to pack up and truck around to the next house.
Then I got these Strads coming in the near future...
Then I'm looking at those Focal 1028BE.... only thing stopping me from the Scala V2 is space space and more space.
So the gameroom has this sectional at this time... it's the Design Within Reach Neo Sectional.
https://pinterest.com/pin/343329171563177227/
So with the 802 Diamond probably going gameroom, it'll have a nice sectional to go with it.
Obviously my house is not as nice in the picture... I need some sort of a decorator or something. My house is kinda plain jane.

Compromise. 2 recliners

If I had my way Halen - I'd buy the como in brown leather. Done and game over for the stereo room. Sat in one, never wanted to get up.

Compromise. 2 recliners
Thought about that too, 2 Flight Recliners, problem is that who gets the middle seat.
I think 3 recliners, sort of flanking each other with a central small coffee table. But then the other guys are seated with 1 ear to the speakers...
I really have to picture this and the use of the stereo room... it won't be the only place with a great pair of speakers so maybe it won't be used too much as a social room... but man, when those Strads are in the room, it's going to blow the doors off of the other set ups.Magico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R
