Hello every one, I was wondering if anyone had some experience with Ecoquest or Alpine Ion air purifiers? A person at work has one and claims it is good for health, and keeps the air clean.
if any one can support these claims by present or past ownership
the info would be appriciated. Thanks

Ion air cleaners deliver as promised. They weight down the dirt particles in the air causing them to fall to the floor. As a matter of fact some of the ion cleaners are so good at it that you get a dark spot all around where it is sitting because of all the dirt falling!Vinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
Thanks I am thinking it would be good then for my Audio equipment also:)

Hve you considered the Ionic Breeze? www.sharperimage.com I'm thinking about getting one but there's one by Oreck that looks much better and moves a lot more air.

I use an ionic cleaner in my closet after I go to a bar and my jacket smells like an ashtray. I hang the jacket right next to the cleaner and it seems to work after a couple hours.
I also gave my mom one, and dirt seems to stick to the outside of it. I don't understand how it works, but it definitely does "something".

from what i've read the shaper image model is actually worse than much cheaper ones.
i bought a few at about $30 each on ebay and they work really well. i'd say at least give a cheaper one a chance before you blow $300 on the sharper image brand name. -
I have looked at the sharper image and the specs on the ecoquest X15 living air seem to be just what I need. we have two parrots and if the product works as promised and removes the dander, dust, and pollutants from the air, it will be well worth the price tag (about $500.00) From the feed back on the forum, I have a feeling we won't be disappointed.
