    our local butcher's chicken breast became bigger and bigger. At first, we thought "great!" just because it seemed economical... until we quickly realized there was no way chickens were getting this large naturally. Plus the meat was getting like gelatin...
    Now it's all organic non-GMO.... pretty pricey, but back to chicken as it seems it is supposed to be.
    Hope the food poisoning clears quickly and you get back on your feet....

    China in the late '80s. Food poisoning FOUR times! Hey I was young and recovered within a day each time. Refrigeration (in the form of large freezers for Universities) was just hitting the Southwestern Chinese market and many thought you could use and reuse leftovers, endlessly! lol

    Lots of water, LOTS and about a 1.000-2,000 mgs of Vitamin C every hour on the hour (helps to PURGE the system). That's what got me through my episodes in RECORD time! Actually felt better within 12 hours of eating!

    Are these like prairie Oysters?

    Anyway, yes it does suck. I remember getting it while in Dominican Republic. Eating some delicious paella then bit in to a mussel which didn't taste like the others. About 3 hours later that was the end of me for 1.5 days.

    I've only had it once in my life, that was enough. Since then I've learned that if it doesn't taste right, spit.....don't swallow, and rinse with alcohol. Even if something doesn't smell right, I won't touch it. My sister just had it too from of all things....salad. Hope your feeling better.
