Pretty good few weeks in 2 channel land

Finally decided it was time to start listening again after a couple of truly craptastic years. Started with Tom Kenney upgrading the power supply to the newest version on my phono stage. Then I replaced the mishmash of DIY, Signal Cable and Aural Thrills cables with a full loom of Cardas Neutral Reference. Finally, I replaced my beloved Shelter 501 MkII with a 501 MkIII due to the former experiencing a shot suspension from not having been played for so long. So much happy making in my skull holes and thinkymeats, and there's a tingling in my no-no places.
Now it's probably time to finally get around to doing some sound treatment in here, and maybe even install the set of inductors I got from VR3 a couple years ago.

Hah. Your sig cracks me up.
I've actually been contemplating switching to 2 channel. I'm not sure though. I love to play video games and the surround sound is great for it.
What have you been waiting *years* to install those inductors for? Get to getting!afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

For me it wasn't either/or, but both. I have a surround rig I watch movies and such on, but for music I vastly prefer my stereo rig. They're focused on, and optimized for, different things.
If you don't have room for both, then you can always go with a preamp with HT bypass.
At some point I might post about what's been going on the last couple years, but not today.Turntable: Empire 208

Thanks, but this is one of those things you don't get over so much as through. But things are generally better now.
I'm supposed to be at Skip's tomorrow. I'll see about the get together. Looks like I'm going to have some travel coming up, so we'll see.Turntable: Empire 208
