What are all you guys doing for the 4th

Thought it would be be nice and insightful to find out how everyone here spends the fourth of July weekend?

I am 37 and dont have as much secx with my wife anymore. My weekend holiday 4th weekends are slowed down too and not as adventurous but that does not mean its not alot of fun. I plan on just chilling atthe family lake spot and drinking tons of beer until my eyes get super bloodshot and pass out the first night. The nextday Iwill go tubing with a terrible hangover and grill food and promise my wife I wont get that drunk as I didthe night before but totally break that promise. My favorite thing to do is stuff my ears and nose with cheetos then eat them as it makes me andanyone under 14 laugh profusely.

Setting up my blanket on the National Mall in DC with the wife and kids, we're actually coming down for the fireworks for the first time in the 17+ years we've lived here! Sad, I know - but like living at the beach, you just take it for granted unless someone's visiting.

It's the wife's birthday too so we're gonna hang out by the pool, watch fireworks, drink beer and do a shrimp boil. Sounds terrible I know but someone has to do it.

My boys are teenagers and have already made plans that do not include 'parents' for the day.

So, just me and the wife - will probably fire up the grill and make a really nice steak or something - haven't decided yet.

There will be generous amounts of music and beverages as we enjoy the back patio and our view of the open space behind our house.

Maybe we'll take a drive someplace before starting dinner, but we both tend to shy away from crowds and mass presses of people.

Then we'll watch the fireworks across the canyon that we can see from our house.

My dog is deathly afraid of fireworks so we stay home with her, blast the music, drink wine, maybe BBQ a good steak. We left her alone once, found her hiding behind the toilet, can't do that again.

As mentioned above a bit, tomorrow we will have some people over. It is supposed to rain as it usually does Canada Day here. We are to have the kids run around play in the pool and BBQ. If it rains it will be kids playing in the playrooms and driving plasma cars in the basement and BBQ.
And to the OP - she probably doesn't do it with you because from what you are saying you're drunk all weekend... rethink your plan if you'd like to get lucky

That seems to happen every once in a while. I used to live near Parkerburg WV and I remember when this happened.

Ha, my son acts the same way. Fireworks, thunder, train whistles...maybe not so much anymore, but when he was 2-4 years old, he would go into an inconsolable panic.

Had a friend who owned a very large old bulldog that was deathly afraid of fireworks and thunderstorms. Would find the dog hiding in the bathtub terrified, shaking and howling.

Biking, and having relations with a few 20 somethings F1 is talking about. ;) I've been on a friggin' hot streak lately, fireworks always seem to get the juices going with the ladies.

Hey PFB sounds like a good time except for the not getting any part :o

Hey Erik I'm surprised they are having fireworks there, last time I was in San Diego it was pretty dry, my Mom lives in La,Mesa and she is having artificial grass put in the back Yard due to how it dried up with the yard watering restrictions they have.

Wife works so fishing and a little mountain biking is what I have going on, eating and tossing back a few beers oh and tunes and spoiling the grandkids and dogs.

Well...there was the epic fail in 2012 - the big bay boom bust as it is called

But, local communities still have displays. Close to us there is the Mira Mesa Community display and the local high school at West View is having one on July 2.

You're 37! Really? Wow, I never would have guessed that. Had you pegged for mid-twenties, at best.

The sex thing. Well, if you're in shape you shouldn't need any of those old men Vitamins (lol) for a LONG time. 37-39 are still prime years! And women are just hitting their peak around then so you might want to rethink that?

As for the 4th! I'm not a big YARD Dude, but I do try to get the BBQ going at least by then! Because if I don't I might miss the entire season, which I HAVE done in the past. Currently my wife is in Tonyb-town so it's just my daughter and me, perhaps we'll invite friends over-we often have friends from my state of origin (Pa.) visiting by this time, but not this year. And there are always evening fireworks riverside! Oh, and don't tell anyone, we have a few Cubans (cigars that is) and some fine cognac for the finale!

Here's hoping everyone has a good time!
