A different note...warning

Several years ago because my enthusiasm and experience with fellow CP members was off the charts. I let a somewhat local "borrow" a Luxman pre and a Carver TFM 35 to get the most out of his new/used SDA 3.1 speakers. A young guy, had been active and I didn't feel any bad vibes. Told him, a month or 2...after an initial thank you reply...I stopped paying attention. After 3 months, I started trying to track him down. After 6 months, I wrote it off. That said, there's trust and there's TRUST. I haven't been active...there are folks here that I'd send $5000.00 to and wouldn't be worried that it would come back. But beware, there's always someone that will screw you. I miss that pre.

    Ron, is that person a member of the forum and have they been active during the time you have attempted contact? That really sucks and i am sorry that your trust was taken advantage of, but if the answer is yes to the above question then out him or at least threaten to do so. Sometimes that is enough to get their attention.

    shawn...thanks, but I tried to contact him...it's been years. Maybe I can do a search...I've been off so long. Don't remember his handle. Just still sticks in my craw. Everyone else in the Polk universe has been a friend and we've shared speakers and gear without issue. Just this guy...I'd almost forgotten until I was hooking up my surrournds and didn't have the 35...lol.

    Just moved to Paradise, CA...3 hours north of the Bay Area. I'm fine for gear at the moment and while there might not be too much available up here...I know who to ask for help...you guys.

    Tried to look up a roster of members....found one that had been deleted...I'm pretty sure I'd remember if I saw his handle again.
