FX1000 Power Handling

Right now I have two fx1ks running off my avr, and they seem to do fine.. But has anyone ever external amped them? Is there any noticeable benefits and can they handle the extra power? I have another set of fx1ks that I'd like to run concurrently with my first set, so now I'm thinking about externally amplifying them all.
Too many good quotes to list..waiting for some fresh ammo. :)

My FXi3s are being powered by a 405wpc Sunfire and sound terrific. It really woke them up so that now they operate at the same level as my mains and center channel.

Yeah, I've used my AVR only with my RT5000 set due to the built in amps and limited space in my rack. However, the rears suffer a bit. The surround is there but could use more presence and body. I'm sure 150-200 watts/ch of stout power would wake up the whole system. If I do end up keeping the set for awhile, an amp is the next thing to be added.

I saw go for it...can only make things better.
