I never met him in person but we exchanged PMs and he was very generous! I remember the day the final word came out. It was a sad time. Hope his Mother is OK, and his girls, he always talked about his children, worried about them!

I didn't realize he had passed. I knew he would post he had liver issues, but, to be honest, was unsure whether his posts were true or not. He was an interesting participant to the forum. I am sorry to hear this. No one should have to go early. RIP.

Ben went way too early. Like I said I got to meet him and hang out with him a few times. He wouldn't even drink a beer then, only cokes. Too late I guess??

He was an awesome and smart guy.

I was remembering him about a month ago when I was going through some cables and found some of his used silvers I had bought from a fellow CP member.I never met or spoke to Ben either, sorry to hear of anyone passing away at such a young ageand leaving behind the little daughters, very sad indeed. :'(

I bought a set of Ben's silver ICs way back and had my first WTF experience with how ICs can/do make a difference.

    Good guy. Beautiful kids.

Yes he was a pleasure to know, I picked him up at his moms house, outside of Atlanta, then we went to Bill's house out in the country and listened to some great tunes upstairs in his listening room then hung out in the garage... It was a nice time. R.I.P. Ben...

Didn't know him personally, but was always a champ of a guy with me on the forum. Hope his family is doing well.

I remember buying some of his IC's from him. He said 60 bucks.....I mailed him 80. He wanted to return the extra 20. I told him to keep it, they were worth the 80. Honest as the day is long, good man.

As with a number of others, I spoke with Ben on the phone a couple times. He was helping me diagnose a problem with my Aragon 8008bb amplifier. He seemed like a nice guy and was definately grateful for his offer to help.

I hope his daughters are getting along OK, and I feel very sorry they lost their dad so young. Sorry we lost you so young Ben. :(

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Me and Ben never got on well together but just before he died he bought an emo amp from me (yes the infamous broken binding post one)and we emailed back n forth and he thanked me for treating him with respect. He would tell me how sick he was and how hard it was for him to do the most trivial and simple chores etc. Then came the bad news almost straight after and Iteared up forhim and his family, just a young guy with his whole life ahead cut short an like we all know its very painful to think about.
