I read in the yamaha c 85 manual that the left channel be connected to the normal pre out and the right channel to the invert ( out of phase) output. This will result to better bass. Since the interconnect will make our speakers out of phase, won't this be a problem? thank you

Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. I would imagine the Yamaha instructions would continue telling you to wire one of the speakers in opposite polarity to the other to bring the overall system back in the same polarity. While this would be no problem with a non-SDA speaker I wouldn't recommend doing it with an SDA type speaker. Unlike most speakers the SDAs have a definite recommended connection polarity.
