You said yourself the Parasound you had sounded better than the emos? I thoroughly enjoyed my xpa3 for theater but was painful for music. Maybe there has been some improvements with the xpr. My buddy has 7 emo mono blocks and their pre amp xmc 1 (I think?) With some jtr triple 8's. And blows the roof off the house. Should be in a stadium and not a basement if you aso me.

    Emotiva pros - warranty

You already have Emotiva and I assume like it so why not? Go for it. I'd get the Parasound if it were my decision.

Another Parasound fan here. Give it a try. I doubt you will loose anything if you decide it's not for you,

I would suggest that the emo-haters/denouncers in this forum haven't used the XPA-1L amp. If they still don't like this amp then their bias can't be overcome.

Ah, come on. Why'd you have to quote him and ruin the thread for me? I see nothing has changed. Still instigating even though nobody has "hated" on Emotiva thus far in the thread.

You must know Emotiva is running their summer sale and members get an
    additional 10% off.

Looking at the Emo XPR-5 lead me to the Marantz av8801 as I was trying to
tie all this gear I have together. I then realized the 8801 wasn't going to do it.
I ended up getting a Denon.

Use Emo fans try their CD player with these amps?

I purchased a pair of XPA 1's (gen 2) last night and listened to them until 2am I have no complaints they are very revealing and natural. I almost went with an XPR-2 but found out they run warm, which turned me off. The XPR 5 doesn't run warm apparently. Go for it, you can always return it.

I have an XPR-5 and use it for what you are going to use it for.
But because some pesky troll has already tried to stir the pot like he always does, reach out to me via PM if you want actual experience with the product you are asking about and not some suggestions that aren't even relevant to the question you asked.

The amp I want is $3,295.00 and is way out of reach for a while.

It will be even further out of reach if you settle for something less now...

I would wait. I did the same, sold my xpa 3 and waited for almost a month with no amp. Bought a sunfire new, have had it for 4 years now. Haven't had the slightest itch to upgraded it.
