I caught one episode tonight on a free HBO weekend...good stuff. Anyone else following this?

Season 1 was outstanding. Hoping this season is close but have my doubts already.

Saw the first episode last night. The plot seems like a take off of "Chinatown" so far. Couldn't find a single character to like - hope that changes. Colin Farrell seems to be playing an incredible a##hole so far.

It will be very difficult to equal last season.

As others said, going to be hard to best season 1. I have an open mind with this one and last nights show was not bad.

When I first heard about HBO doing this show, I thought it would take place in the 1940's or early 50's .

I was thinking the same thing....maybe a cross between Chinatown and David Lynch's Mulholland Drive.

I'm on episode four of season one. Pretty awesome so far, too bad the season is so short...

Season one was indeed phenomenal. Definitely a benchmark.

Also recorded it from HBO during their free weekend. I may have to watch this first episode again. A lot of jumping from brief scene to brief scene in this episode, which makes the plot pretty incomprehensible. Seems to be coming together at the end though. Must admit I haven't seen Rachel McAdams like this before, so no complaints with her role. But, I have trouble viewing Vince Vaughan as anything more than a clown. Most of the people in this first episode seem angry at something. Reviews seem to be polarizing so far.

I just watched it last night and have to say that it has potential.......the first season was good but felt like they rushed the ending. Seems like this one was pretty crammed with information that seems to be a lot of storylines to explain in a short season all converging into one. I agree with whoever posted earlier that there don't seem to be any characters that are likable of that you root for. Hopefully this changes as the season goes on.

I have pretty mixed feelings about it so far. I want to like it, but after three episodes I am close to giving up on it. I agree with @drumminman , I don't think there are any likeable characters.

Rachel McAdams is likeable. I'm kinda lost though between 2nd and 3rd episodes. The end of the 2nd episode had Colin taking not one but 2 shotgun blasts to the midsection. Episode 3 opens and there's barely any wounds on him....and he had no vest. WTF is up with that ?

He says something about it being crowd control rounds "like the police use". Implying that it might be a cop who did the shooting, I guess.
