Anyone know anything about this Preamp? Dad is letting me use it in my summer rig!

Specs? Opinions? etc
- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

    Yeah, I've heard it in action, but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. It is probally 10-15 years old.

    it's a pre amp, and it's made by Yamaha. :p

    that's about all i know about it.

    what's to know about a pre amp? there aren't anything like wpc to be concerned about.. so enjoy. ;)

    The CX1/CX2 are two of the best preamps Yamaha ever built. Very nice, and outstanding specs. They were quite expensive when new...

    Cool deal. Dad said he would sell it to me for 150. This will be used in my SDA 2 channel setup.

    Preamp - Yamaha CX-2
    Amp - Adcom GFA-555
    Speakers - Polk Audio CRS, SDA 2, SDA 1 (one of those)
    CD Player - Panasonic DVD player

    considering it was about $800 new, I'd say dad is hooking you up...Congrats!

    Sid, that looks like a great 2-channel rig you've got going, very nice--good components. Simplicity...I like that.
