Binding Straps

On the old RT series (Rt3000p, SRT, etc) are the oem binding straps worth a darn, or is it worth it to replace them with a decent set of jumper wires? Anyone have some extra binding straps they would like to sell?
Too many good quotes to list..waiting for some fresh ammo. :)
