Just curious Mikey but where did you end up on your gain control to get 75db. My Marantz is having me set my SVS to 3 clicks from 0, 2 clicks from 50%. Although that seems low it sounds great.

Did some viewing over the weekend and today I ordered some Atmos enabled Blu Rays.

And will be able to watch them next weekend.
I re-watched Man of Steel on the updated rig last nite and was again impressed by the audio track this time it was even more impressive with the recently added improvements.
The SVS sub is breaking in nicely and I don't know if I am describing this correctly but it seems to have a massive amount of headroom or the ability to be just doing its thing and then allofersudden kick you in the chest with a size 13.5 boot and huge amount of LFE.

UGH, Polk needs a dedicated Home Theater section on the forum. Had to search and found this thread in an unlikely area.
Anyways, good to see discussions on Atmos and the coming DTS X.
My setup right now is 7.1. I have All Polk in my setup except my SVS PC Ultra sub.
L&R Mains - RT800
Center - CS400
Surrounds - FX500
Rear Centers - RT35i
I have a drop ceiling and could easily accommodate in ceiling speakers. Guess my question is, where to place them? Do I do 1 set, each over top the main L&R RT800? Do I insert a second overhead set somewhat out into the room just forward of my couch (listening position)?
It would be a piece of cake to install and run more cable across the drop ceiling and down with the rest of the cabling to the back of a new receiver. Of course, finding the right in ceiling speakers to match my current setup.No excuses! -

Outstanding, thank you! The ceiling speakers (in red) are located differently than what I initially thought. Although, the ones front of the couch are where I expected, I didn't expect a set behind. Hey, they designed it and would know better than I.

I'm kind of hanging tight till later in the year. I want to see where DTS lands with DTSX. I'm sure it'll be close to, if not the same speaker setup as Atmos. I don't want to buy a receiver, then all of a sudden DTS releases theirs and the movie industry starts splitting their support of them. This movie will be in Atmos, but this one will be in DTS X. I want 1 receiver with it all.No excuses!
