Absolutely beautiful, they really are works of art! If I didn't have the Heath W5 monos Gary rebuilt, I'd be trying to figure out a way to acquire these babies, which no doubt sound as good as they look. BTW, Gary is back to work after some very extensive medical issues that put him out of commission for some time, he just did some upgrades to my Dodd battery preamp. He does really good work.

FOR THOSE WHO MAY BE UNAWARE...Gary Dodd and Danny Richie are launching a new venture that will produce budget priced (sub $1000) but very high quality amps, preamps and dacs. Should be interesting. There is a thread about this on Danny's circle on Audiocircle.

usp1, thanks for that link. Interesting thread and had fun reading the prospective names. "Grateful Dodd Audio". Lol. However, that idea Danny Richie has is really great, I'm sure the products will be awesome. I know Danny considers Gary Dodd an audio genius and what a true friend for what he has done, is doing. The partnership will be impressive. One of the upgrades Gary just did on my battery preamp was to put in what he said was the first active subwoofer crossover in a Dodd preamp, selectable 30-200 db crossover and also a gain dial to match my JBL 2235H LF drivers with my Dalquists. As a result, I find the new venture very interesting and I hope we support this homegrown talent.

@dromunds An active low-pass crossover sounds very interesting. I have Gary's battery tube buffer which he has since been upgraded to a selectable gain pre. I wonder if there is room in the chassis for more electronics. How much did it cost? (message me if your prefer not to discuss it here)

Gary Dodd is in Texas. Dallas/Fort Worth area IIRC. The monoblocks for sale are also in that area it appears from the ebay listing in the first post link above.
