The switch on the back gives the option of off, 20Hz and 40Hz. Where should I set it. It really is a pain to get to it so I want to get down there set it and leave it. sound good on off but just wanted yallz opinionz.

Let's see, big Monitor 70 towers, tons of power...leave it full range and if you need to put a crossover setting on them, do it through your AVR, I run my SDAs full range and no drawbacks.
Thanks nb, if there is nothing to gain I aint getting back down on that floor that obviously hates me lol.

If you have the SVS PB2000 ( a killer sub!) in the loop you don't really need the M70s going full range. However, it wouldn't hurt to let'em rip for a week or two full range to see how you like it.
Either way it's going to be a fun ride.HT: Marantz NR-1603, Oppo 981, Def Tech SM55, SVS PB-1000
BR: iPad Mini, Audio Engine A5+
2C: Parasound ZDAC V.2, Sony DA80ES, Sony XDR-F1HD, SVS Prime Tower, JSE .6 Infinite Slope
Office: MBAir, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, JBL LSR-308
Projects: Polk RTA12, Polk Monitor 7, Revox B225CD, BIC 3-TM -
I have the xo set in the avr at 60 for the sub so is this switch redundant?

Pretty much, unless running direct. I'd drop that 60 down to 40 now that you got the big power and see what happens.
So drop it to 40 and then what with the switch?

The high pass is normally used for ported subs or full range speakers so you don't send em a 1hz signal and blow them due to overexcursiin of your drivers.
It's also sometimes called a subsonic filter.
I'd set it to 20hz and be done."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

I'd set it to 20hz and be done.
Really I risk blowing speakers leaving it off?

The chances of it happening are slim to none, but cutting it at 20 is not a bad thing at all. Very, VERY few speakers can actually handle a 20 hz signal and produce it with any kind of volume.
Agreed! It's UNLIKELY but....... Since it won't hurt to put it at 20, is do it and never wonder."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

red I am pretty sure if you are running an xpa3 off a yammi rxa1040 with Polk monitor 70,s you will love it!
All I can really say is that I used to prefer the sound of 7 channel prior to getting the Parasound now 2 channel is prefered. Not that the emo was that bad on 2 channel this Parasound is just better. Plus putting 200w to the 60's on the sides does sound a bit bright in comparison.

Good to hear. I think you should take a few weeks to reflect before jumping on any other products.
