:'(:'( I got this one today talk about a compressed, and probably one of the worst sounding remaster I ever heard, it ranks right up there with Rush's original Vapor Trails it's that bad what a shame.

I wish I would of read some of the reviews the second disc might possibly be the only reason to have purchased this but what they did to the first disc is unacceptable, this one's going to the used store for whatever I get for it :s

Thanks for the heads up. This was on my weekend shopping list.

    Thanks for the head up.
I fear remasters. Who did it? (being lazy and not looking it up myself)
Just pulled out the Japanese version from 1999? and then realized
my rig is still 1/2 torn apart. :# Maybe tomorrow. Well I could listen
to the vinyl... let me que that up...
pressed by PRC dunno who mastered it over there...
Sound pretty clear... can't find the redbook to try in the car.

Why is it a double CD ?

I bought one recently, I believe SACD from CD Japan, that sounds better than the redbook I bought years ago, which was unlistenable.

The SACD is pretty good, but it was not a good recording to begin with. I never liked the recording quality when I was spinning LP's on a TT with first an SME 3009 and later and Infinity Black Widow, both with Shure V15 type xx cartridges. Always sounded kind of compressed/flat with an inherent graininess.

I'm keeping it only because of the second disc the demos and live performances are pretty good, yeah Mick Taylor was the reason the Stones were so good. I have a copy of the Virgin CD issue from back in the 90s on a cdr, that sounds better than this new one which was apparently the mastered 2009 copy that was used on this 2015 release. Oh well $14.99 for the 2nd cd is the price you got to pay.

Hey Red, I think I heard the Japan CD you mentioned was the CD to have. Others have said the lossless download from Pono was pretty good, but I wouldn't know, I like the original vinyl. I also like Keiko's advice in that regard. Lol...

Well my original vinyl is more for looks at this stage. (girls can play w/ the zipper)
Keiko's advice is good. I do it with vinyl to cassette!

I want to thank the OP again. I was at Record Den and
was able to pass this right up. Unfortunately the
savage grace 2 lp I bought is warped and I didn't notice
    in the store :'(
