Courtney Barnett, who opened up for Alabama Shakes last night, goes on tonight. Might wanna check them out. Simple Aussie indie/punkish/lo-fi with clever lyrics. I can't stop playing the new album. OTOH, the Shakes were disappointing, especially given how much I love the Sound & Color lp. They seemed to be in transition too much. And when they settled into a really good groove, they ended the song prematurely. This show was nowhere as energetic and uplifting as the only other time I've seen them (2014 Shaky Knees).
Dopapod also plays tonight. I have enjoyed them the 2 times I've seen them. Good electronic groove-jam.
