One of the true greats of jazz has passed...RIP Ornette Coleman.

Along with a few others...Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk...he helped create "modern jazz."

His "Beauty is a Rare Thing" box set, containing his landmark music from the 60s, is one of my favorite jazz box sets.
