My horsie won his triple crown. Congrats to AP, your owner will now bathe you in the lap of luxury you deserve and sell off all your little ponies for mega bucks. Man, he was in front the whole race and smoked them all on the final stretch.

Just think, science said AP would NOT win the triple, go figure. lol

Agreed on great horse and ride. One for the ages by this horse (by the time he's threw
with racing). 4th best time and it was like a workout for him.

There was a news story from Vegas about a guy that placed a bet before the season began.
Twenty Five thousand on American Pharoah to wing the triple crown.
I wonder what the odds were that he finally got?
He won 65 million. (I wonder if that's for real)
    And that's 2600 to 1 odds.

It was a spectacular victory by a fine horse and great rider.
With respect to science I would say that, you must have really hated science class in school.

Just the opposite, loved science then, as I do now. Only I don't treat science as an all knowing God of sorts. Science has been proven wrong in the past, and I'm sure it will in the future too.

I am originally from Lexington, KY the center of the horse flesh universe. How appropriate that a Kentucky foaled horse wins the 3 crowns.
The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

It is imperative that we recognize that an opinion is not a fact.

um nope the "owner" doesn't own breeding rights he just owns the horse. Big news on CNN today was just that. The owner wants to still race him to make bank while the owner of the breeding rights wants him retired....

Just an incredibly beautiful horse, absolutely stunning!

I saw a headline yesterday that the jockey was giving his money from the race all to charity.

How come we hear about these racehorse favorites one year, then nothing about them racing after that? Last year, it was California Chrome who won the first two legs of the Triple Crown, then after the Belmont we heard nothing about him since.

So you can separately sell breeding rights ? Didn't know that. I just assumed if you own the horse, that includes his **** too.

The owner paid 600k for AP as a yearling, add in costs to raise and train the horse, maybe 2 million ? I think the owner has made a hefty return on that investment.

Head down to Lexington every year. (my wife is a horsehead)
    We've made many friends there.
    Interesting breeding on the dam side;
    distance,speed,distance,speed,distance, speed.

Can't wait to see him race again!
