Rotel RB1080 amplifier

I have a Rotel RB1080 amplifier for sale for $485 shipped to lower continental US or pick up in metro Wash. DC area for a discount. All black. 200w x 2. Comes with original box, fuses and manual. Will be shipped double boxed. Works perfect. Includes power cord but I don't know if it is original (sorry, all my cables got mixed up but it is a standard cable). Very good condition. The unit is very clean with only flaw I can find upon close inspection is a tiny dent at corner of the top cover....not noticeable unless you are looking for flaws. I have two RB1080 which were used to power my Rockets and LSi15s but I sold my Rockets so this one is up for sale. The other still powers LSis very well and is a good match for the laid back sound of Vifas. I have bought gear here over the years but not sold any as I pretty much needed stuff. Do not fear...long time member but with 2 young kids, hard to be active on the forum. I will post some pictures once I figure out how. Daniel

    I have been somewhat looking for an amp since I bought my A7's years ago. Would this Rotel make a big difference in sound for my speakers?
    Very tempting.

    Very tempting.

    Probably not in sound, but you can play louder without clipping or damaging your speakers. If you want to notice a difference in sound you'll have to upgrade your speakers to LSiM if you want to stay with Polk Audio.

    They will sound better at louder volumes and low level detail will be better.

    IMHO the 7's "almost" require a amp to really sound their best.

    I'd think it would be a worthwhile investment.

    Concur with Dan^^ Yes they will play with a receiver but your not doing yourself any favors without an amp the love the power

    Earlier when I said"sound difference",I meant in terms of detail as in what Dan stated.
    As of now they are being powered from my SC-57.
    In a few weeks we are moving so I am hoping to have enough leftover funds :)
