Friends i have been liquidating some of my favorite audio equipment due to necessity.
Up for your consideration is something I had to think long and hard about......

These Modded SDA 1C have the wood end caps, sonic cap/mills crossovers, dynamat baskets, armacell gaskets, Larry's rings, RDO-194 tweets, and the interconnect cable

Since the modification, they have about 400+ hrs on them.

    I have rolled my set into the rig recently, had forgotten just how good the 1C's sound!

    BTW Crossovers were done by Westmassguy....so you know they were done right!

    1Cs upgraded are fantastic speakers. If I didn't already have a pair, I'd buy them.

    Somebody who appreciates SDAs should grab these.

    I own a pair as well but I am still tempted to drive up and snag these. I had a pair of 2.3tl fully modded that never sounded as good as my IC's. I have a pair of Carver Amazing Platinum Mark IV that in some ways are better but not by much. I prefer my 1C's for critical listening.

    Wow, that is a steal for modded 1C's. Even though I've settled on a pair of modded 2.3TL's, I still have a great appreciation for the soundstage my former pair of modded 1C's could produce. This is a no brainer for someone close.

    It just hooked them back up and put some 6sn7 tubes on them and dang it......they sound pretty damn awesome.

    Come get these boys, before I change my mind or the price goes up!

    Thanks Mike.......yeah I have some LSIM 705's in the house. they will replace the SDA's. Space will be at a premium for me in the near future and I have too many speakers

    AWWWWWWWWWWW DANG IT!!!

    I just hooked these speakers up to an under-rated (integrated) tube amp. I put the SDA 1C's on a Cayin TA 30 (Bizzy Bee modded) amp. The tubes were Black Treasure 6CA7 + Psvane 12AT7 + Amperex 12AU7.

    Dac is PS Audio Perfectwave MKII
    This combo sounds perfect! I love what I'm hearing. I just may leave this combo intact.
    I knew when I pulled them out to take pics that I would hook them up for one last listen before they sold. But you guys gave me too much time to play around with them and now I think they will be staying.

    Thanks to all the bros. who weighed in with their comments. Even-though I really could use the money, you made me think about this a little more. These are not easy to find.

    I don't want to regret letting them go. I would have sold them to Msg if he offered, but luckily he decided otherwise. Im listening to them as I type and the sound is killer!

    Glad you going to keep them Darren, they are rare and you have some really nice upgrades on them and your setup sure sounds like awesome combo!

    I know Scott really wanted them too, but he's working on his 2.3TL's and like you after the upgrades he probably won't want to let them go either :)

    Haha, oh thank Gyad man. That was a tough decision. Indeed, sometimes everything happens for a reason. With being on the fence about moving them, I'm glad it worked out that you're keeping/rediscovering them. Sellers Remorse is a crummy feeling, especially on something like this, which would be difficult to get again.
