need an amp for my carver pre amp

hi my name is bill, i live in a remote area in oregon. for years ive been running my pioneer cx-4000 and its done everything ive asked of it. one thing i dislike about it is the damned ribbon that connects the two components. sorry rambling,anyway it seems to have died so i got a carver preamp from a friend so now of course i am looking for a carver(preferably) amp. would like more than just two channel since i mostly run tunes,movies,etc... from my desktop for the main room and also to the bed room. also if anyone is interested in my pioneer let me know. the light on the amp will not come on butt the tuner standby light does come on but that is all it will do. anyway feel free to email me for any more info
