1.2TLs with Denon AVR-5803A

Well, the receiver is finally installed and calibrated. I must say that the 1.2TLs like it much better than the older Pioneer they were forced to perform for! The thing has more than enough reserve for the levels I am allowed to play at (apartment). HDCDs sound great with it in direct mode. I also setup the THX and found that leaving the beasts as large speakers in the setup meant that I didn't need the sub for anything but the most demanding sound tracks. Now I have to look around my place and find all the things resonating and do something about them!

Anyway, just thought I'd let those interested know that they like the power of the Denon and someday will have the power they so deserve when I get separate amps for them.

For those that read and responded to my question about spikes, that's a non issue now. I spoke with my neighbors and they are okay with me using the bass brace. I gathered from some responses that the brace won't transmitt any noticable bass through the wall, so that's what I'm going to use. Should make a nice improvement in bass.
