Wall sockets and/or UPS

I couldn't find a thread on this but maybe don't have the patience this morning...

What do you think about a nice UPS for power conditioning.
I've read no for amps and o.k. for everything else.

If no on the UPS has anyone just done the simple upgrade of
the wall plugs?

A lot to choose from. Thanks in advance for any insight. B)

Like everything pal, different varieties of quality. A good power conditioner helps with audio and video. Wall outlets run the gamut, but if your looking for on the cheap.....regular Hospital grade from Home Depot.

People say no to amps because of a Power conditioners current limiting characteristics. Though only the more expensive units don't limit current. Not a fan of power strips, especially the cheaper variety. Get a decent PC if you can. All depends on what your budget is because like I said, runs the gamut.

Thanks tonyb. I guess what I'm looking for is positive experiences not cheap or bang for the buck. I don't think a dedicated circuit is in the works but I'm looking in to it...

The PS Audio wall outlets are very good. Many other brands too, simply look on Audiogon. Power conditioners are all over the map depending on what you want it to do. Just provide simple spike protection, regulate and clean the power coming in the door, etc.

I would try some Hospital grade outlets first. They aren't expensive and built fairly well offering good contact.

here something I been looking at, though I did add some ps audio outlets in my HT room outlets. but these from Cullen has my attention.

    http://www.cullencable.com/index.php/products/power-filtering-products/perfect-plug

also for surge protection you add this Venom Defender into one of the outlets

    http://www.musicdirect.com/p-116784-shunyata-venom-defender-stand-alone-plug-in-power-conditioner.aspx

it is suppose to done line condition and surge protection from the bottom or top outlet or plug it into a power strip like cullens power box

    http://www.cullencable.com/index.php/products/power-strips/the-power-box

that something I been looking at.

I am currently using the Venom Defender, seem to work good but as for surge protection I hope to never know LOL :) got it from "The Cable Company" as Steve from the CableCo recommended it to me. been looking at the Voodoo Powermatic 4 outlet strip also.
