psw505 malfunction?

I have two Polk PSW505 subs (purchased December 2012) that have been amazing for 2 years but have suddenly stopped working.
The green light is on, but am getting very little output from the subs – there is a very quiet noise when turned up very loud but the speakers sound fuzzy and distorted. I have tried connecting through a speaker wire instead of the RCA and gotten the same results.
Also tried connecting direct to a cd player with the same results.
The subs are running off the Line Out of a Yamaha A-S2000, which is fed by a Yamaha CD-S2000. The L/R speakers are JBL Studio L890.
I would appreciate and trouble-shooting advise.

Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. Either you have a defective woofer or a nonfunctioning bass amplifier. In either case you are covered by Polk's warranty. Give them a call at 1-800-377-7655 or via email to: polkcs@polksudio.com. Have your original date and place of purchase handy as well as the unit's serial number.
They'll take care of you.
Regards, Ken
